Earth Local is shaping up to become an online matching system where local farmers and growers can get matched with local cafes, restaurants, soup kitchens and local distributors committed to providing locavores and 'buy local' advocates an opportunity to connect with local sources for quality produce, fish, seafood, eggs, poultry, etc.

We're working to create an online matching service where growers / farmers can create a profile and list their anticipated crop type(s), potential yield and date of maturity. The local foodies, restaurants and buyers would then have an opportunity to connect and reserve their preferred crop type and quantity, which would assist the growers in meeting their distribution goals without the uncertainty of existing distribution models such as local farmer markets or other limited channels for distribution.
